Heat Rejecting Window Films

Optically clear and virtually undetectable, or heavily tinted for privacy, our heat rejecting window films will help keep you cool, focussed and productive through the hottest days of the summer and all year round, saving energy whilst increasing comfort with the added benefit of blocking harmful UV radiation.

Our films are available in a broad spectrum of finishes to suit any purpose and architectural style, from the most subtle tints of precious metals which are hardly noticeable once inside the building to highly reflective privacy films and completely opaque films.

Heat Rejection

Our heat rejecting window films can dramatically alter the amount of solar heat which enters a building, helping to keep staff productive and visitors and customers comfortable even on the hottest days.

This is achieved through a combination of reflection and absorbance to minimise the heat transmitted through the glass.

Performance will vary depending on the type of film and glass, please ask for full details and an energy efficiency report.

Energy Efficiency

Cooling a building can require a lot of energy and investment in equipment to cope with the peak summer months, our window films can reduce this need enabling units to be switched off or less expensive equipment to be installed.

A small reduction to the temperature of just a few degrees can save up to 25% of the cost of cooling a building. We can provide a full energy efficiency report to identify the long term savings and pay back period of different films, please ask for full details.

Glare Reduction

Glare can be a major problem in many office environments resulting in compromised room layouts and lack of productivity due to impaired view of computer screens.

Using one of a wide selection of window films to address this problem gives immediate results and depending on the choice of film, other benefits such as heat rejection, energy savings and additional safety.

Fading & Ultraviolet (UV) Reduction

Not only is UV damaging to our health but it is also one of the major causes of colour fading and sun damage of furniture and possessions, our window films reject over 99% of UV radiation.

It is important to note, however, that UV contributes towards only 40% of the fading problem. Visible light contributes 25% and solar energy (heat) contributes another 25%, resulting in a further 50% contribution to the problem. The remaining 10% of what causes fading is directly tied to the quality, or the lack of quality of the dyes used in furnishing, fabric and carpet.

No window film product is guaranteed to stop or cure a fading problem. However, professional quality window film can significantly reduce fading caused by ultraviolet, visible light and solar energy. The degree of protection you obtain is closely tied to the type of film you select.
